Nivedita Dutta was born in 1988 in Midnapur, West Bengal.
In 2011 she received her B.F.A. from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata. In 2013 she received her M.V.A. (Indian painting) from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Kolkata.
She has participated in several exhibitions and workshops:
In 2009 she participated in the Annual Art Exhibition of West Bengal State Akademi, Kolkata. In 2009 and 2010 she participated in the Annual Art College exhibition in Midnapur. In 2011 and 2013 she participated in the Annual exhibitions of G.C.A.C. in Kolkata. In 2012 she participated in the Chinese Painting Workshop and in 2013 she took part in the Ghambhir Mask Workshop at G.C.A.C. in Kolkata. In 2013 she participated in the All India Art Exhibition at Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Kolkata; she took part in a group show at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata; she participated in a group show at the Hutheesing Visual Art Centre, Ahmedabad and she took part in the Ahmedabad International Art Festival, Fine Art Fair, Ahmedabad. In 2014 she participated in the ‘Samakalan’ Annual show at Kanoria Art Centre, Ahmedabad. In 2016 she participated in the group show ‘A Labyrinth of Tales - II’ at Gallery 7, Kalaghoda in Mumbai.
In 2013 - 2014 and 2014 - 2015 she received scholarships from patrons of art at Kanoria Centre for Art, Ahmedabad. In 2015 - 2016 she won the Kanoria Scholarship at Kanoria Centre for Art, Ahmedabad.
She lives and works in Gujarat.
